A Center for Human Development is dedicated to the process of human growth and development and brings together a number of highly talented and creative professionals providing an unusually broad range of services and facilities for individuals, couples, families, groups and organizations. The Center is unique in that it is the only one of its kind in northern Idaho. The Center first opened its doors in September 1992. It provides a quiet, safe place where people are supported as they learn and grow through competent and caring counseling, therapy, body work, group activities, trainings and workshops.

While maintaining a traditional approach to therapy in some respects, the Center provides a comfortable, relaxed, non-threatening environment in which counselors are invited to share in someone’s life rather than a visit being viewed as “a treatment”. The Center and its professionals believe in the power of caring, recognize the healing property of nature, and acknowledge each person’s ability to heal from within.
